Many people are aware of the rich history and tourist attractions that are available in the Springfield area. We all know about the state capital and Lincoln sites, but there are SO MANY other important organizations and chapters of national societies that get little attention. Today I would like to share information about one of those rarely discussed but highly valuable entities. Let me share some information: Springfield Illinois Chapter of the American Guild of Organists Welcome to the Springfield, Illinois Chapter of the American Guild of Organists! On behalf of my colleagues, I encourage you to take a closer look at our chapter, our diverse membership and our programs. It is my hope that you can join us at one of our activities throughout the year and be encouraged to join our membership. Our chapter fully enjoys the social side of our membership and offers a support network in the Springfield area for organists and other musicians. So, if you are an organist, music director, choir member, pastor or just someone who loves organ music, I hope you will consider joining the Springfield Chapter. Whether you have had many years of formal training or you’ve simply had a few opportunities to enjoy the grandeur of this magnificent instrument, you will be a welcome addition to our chapter.
